Limited Warranty

Thank you for choosing a handcrafted wood stove from Ookpik Wood Stoves. We take pride in building durable, high-quality stoves designed for cabins, tiny homes, workshops, saunas, RVs, and off-grid living. This warranty outlines the coverage and limitations for your stove purchase.

Stove Body Warranty

Ookpik Wood Stoves warrants that the steel stove body and welded structural components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 years from the original date of purchase.

If a defect covered under this warranty is found during the warranty period, we will, at our discretion:

• Repair the defective component
• Replace the defective component or stove
• Provide replacement parts
• Refund up to the original purchase price of the affected product

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser unless otherwise stated by Ookpik Wood Stoves

What Is Covered

This warranty covers:

• Cracks in welded seams under normal use
• Structural failure of the stove body
• Manufacturing defects in steel components
• Defects in workmanship or materials

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

• Improper installation or unsafe operation
• Over-firing or misuse
• Damage caused by modified components or unauthorized repairs
• Surface rust, scratches, or discoloration
• Paint wear or paint curing issues
• Damage caused by water, salt air, or harsh environments
• Consumable items including:
  • Firebricks
  • Door gaskets
  • Glass
  • Baffles
  • Air intake mesh/screens
  • Handles and finish coatings
• Normal wear and tear from regular use
• Shipping costs related to warranty claims
• Incidental or consequential damages

Glass Warranty

Ceramic door glass is covered for 90 days against manufacturing defects only.

Glass breakage caused by impact, over-firing, improper installation, or misuse is not covered.

Paint & Finish

High-temperature paint may cure differently depending on stove operation and burn temperatures. Minor discoloration, fading, or surface rust are considered normal and are not covered under warranty.

Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim, please email:

Include:

• Proof of purchase
• Photos of the stove and affected area
• Description of the issue
• Stove model and serial number (if applicable)

Clear photos are required for all warranty claims.

Shipping & Repairs

Customers are responsible for shipping costs unless otherwise approved by Ookpik Wood Stoves.

If repair work is approved under warranty, we may choose to:

• Ship replacement parts
• Repair the unit
• Replace the stove body

Any repaired or replaced items remain covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

Safety & Installation

All stoves must be installed and operated according to local building codes and fire regulations.

Failure to follow proper clearances, chimney requirements, or safe burning practices may void this warranty.

Limitation of Liability

Ookpik Wood Stoves shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the stove.

Maximum liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
